FBlit also needs Libs:fblit.library and an ENVARC:FBlit.cfg file either for Workbench 3.0/3.1 or for 3.1.4/3.5/3.9 which can both be found in my icon.library package under ThirdParty. It all looks much nicer when compared to the look of the default Workbench 1.2 icons. To be able to load icon images into FastMem you need either FBlit or a gfx-card driver like P96 or CGX (never use them together with FBlit). But in contrast older Workbench versions will boot up fine on a system with newer kickstart roms, but because a lot of the OS is built into the rom itself, including many system libraries, it means the older versions will look more. The drawer icons show an open drawer when they’re selected, and Trashcan icon has it’s lid open when it’s selected. So Workbench 1.3 ran with Kickstart 1.3, Workbench 2.04 with Kickstart 2.04, Workbench 3 with Kickstart 3.0 etc. Most icons now also have an alternative image when they’re selected, instead of just inverting the colours used.
